WordPress shows a blank screen after a plugin install or update
WSOD (white screen of death) is usually one crashing plugin. You isolate it.
Try this first
- 1Open wp-content/plugins via FTP or host file manager
- 2Rename 'plugins' to 'plugins_off', the site returns without plugins
- 3Rename back and re-enable plugins one by one until the crash returns
- 4Replace or remove the culprit, report to the plugin author
When to bring us in
Blank screen without a recent plugin change can be PHP-version mismatch or a corrupt file, dev needed.
