Display or room system is in standby and the meeting does not start fast enough

Power save is good for energy but bad for instant meetings. If the room system needs twenty seconds to wake, everyone grabs the laptop instead. Tune sleep smarter.

Try this first

  1. 1Set display sleep to wake on CEC signal from the room system, not only on physical touch.
  2. 2Put the room PC in a low power state instead of full sleep, wake under five seconds.
  3. 3Tie wake to a motion sensor or calendar trigger, fifteen minutes before a meeting the system starts waking up.
  4. 4Test that the display follows neatly, some consumer TVs have slow CEC and miss the wake.
  5. 5Document in the room guide how to wake manually, usually a tap on the controller.
  6. 6Account for energy reporting, a room system always half-on consumes a bit more than full-off.

When to bring us in

For rooms where latency matters, board rooms or presentation rooms, Vectel can tune the wake flow per room.
