Room goes down and nobody notices until someone tries to meet in it
Without central monitoring you only learn a room is broken when a user needs it. A management portal plus an alert flow to the right channel prevents that.
Try this first
- 1Connect all room systems to the right portal, Logitech Sync, Poly Lens, Yealink DMP, or Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro.
- 2Set alerts on offline status, firmware failure and packet loss above a threshold.
- 3Send alerts to a Teams channel or a Slack channel IT actively follows, not a mailbox where they drown.
- 4Define who responds within what time, otherwise an alert sits unread.
- 5Review alert history monthly, recurring causes show up.
- 6Periodically test the alert system itself, an alert that never fires is not an alert.
When to bring us in
For 24/7 coverage or strict SLAs, Vectel can run a managed service where alerts go directly to an operator.
