Under the meeting table is a spaghetti of cables nobody understands
Cable chaos under the table costs time at every meeting and invites mistakes, someone unplugs the wrong thing. A proper cable tray or floor box solves it in one refit.
Try this first
- 1Identify which cables are still in real use, about a third are usually leftovers from previous systems.
- 2Remove anything no longer functional, that saves time finding the right cable later.
- 3Install a cable tray under the table with clips, so power, data and HDMI each follow their own path.
- 4For a fixed table position, a floor box with a closable lid is cleaner than cables across the floor and removes the trip hazard.
- 5Label every cable at both ends, a simple label maker suffices, you need it at every incident.
- 6Plan an annual cleanup round, otherwise clutter creeps back over the years.
When to bring us in
During a refit or new office, do it right immediately with floor boxes and proper cabling. Vectel works with the contractor so IT is not bolted on at the end.
