Under the meeting table is a spaghetti of cables nobody understands

Cable chaos under the table costs time at every meeting and invites mistakes, someone unplugs the wrong thing. A proper cable tray or floor box solves it in one refit.

Try this first

  1. 1Identify which cables are still in real use, about a third are usually leftovers from previous systems.
  2. 2Remove anything no longer functional, that saves time finding the right cable later.
  3. 3Install a cable tray under the table with clips, so power, data and HDMI each follow their own path.
  4. 4For a fixed table position, a floor box with a closable lid is cleaner than cables across the floor and removes the trip hazard.
  5. 5Label every cable at both ends, a simple label maker suffices, you need it at every incident.
  6. 6Plan an annual cleanup round, otherwise clutter creeps back over the years.
