Office move, temporary forwarding until the new line is up.
Often there is a gap between cancelling the old line and the new line being live. Forwarding through the current provider to mobile or a temporary VoIP number bridges it without notice cards.
Try this first
- 1Enable forwarding at the current provider to mobile or VoIP for the transition window.
- 2Only cancel the line once the new line plus number porting is successful.
- 3Do not pre-announce a 'new number' to customers, that creates errors and three live numbers.
- 4Tweak voicemail briefly: 'we are moving, we will call back today'.
When to bring us in
Internet at the new site is delayed: 4G router for temporary VoIP, fine for a week, not for months.
