We want fixed-line calling via Teams
Teams can replace a PBX, but only with a Calling Plan or Direct Routing; that is a separate add-on.
Try this first
- 1Calling Plan (Microsoft as provider): numbers from Microsoft, simplest setup, limited to certain countries.
- 2Direct Routing (your provider): keep current numbers and provider, technically more complex.
- 3Operator Connect: a middle ground where a Microsoft partner supplies numbers and manages the plumbing.
- 4Pilot with two users before moving everyone; some use cases (call center, alarms) do not fit.
- 5Pricing and country availability rarely stay current; ask for live rates and watch number-porting lead times.
When to bring us in
A PBX replacement is a project, not a license choice. Ask for advice before porting numbers; reverting takes months.
