Weight item vs unit item in POS, how to set?

For vegetables, meat, cheese: by weight, linked to a certified scale. For packaged products: by unit with a barcode. Mixing is fine but mark in the PLU which is which, or cashiers misprice.

Try this first

  1. 1Connect a certified scale (Bizerba, Mettler) to the POS.
  2. 2Set per item: per unit, per kg, per 100g.
  3. 3Test with 3 reference weights for calibration.
  4. 4Keep certification proof, NMi audits this periodically.

When to bring us in

On calibration doubt, have NMi or an authorised company recertify. Selling on uncertified scales is not allowed.
