Webshop sold something that just went in store.

Classic: last unit sold in shop, sync to webshop is 5 min behind, online order comes in, you are in a refund call. Real-time sync or a safety-stock buffer fixes it.

Try this first

  1. 1Set safety stock: do not show the last 1-2 units online.
  2. 2Enable real-time sync if your POS supports it.
  3. 3Write a template 'sorry, just sold out' mail, send same day.
  4. 4Plan for 1-2 percent mis-sync in your process, not zero.

When to bring us in

On high refund volumes, this is not a sync issue but inventory too thin. Order more.
