Main till offline, how do we keep going?

A second device with the same POS app or a mobile till saves the day. Pen and paper works but back-entry is tedious. Make sure your terminal can run stand-alone.

Try this first

  1. 1Install the POS app on a second tablet or phone, sign in while open.
  2. 2Enable stand-alone mode on the terminal (enter amount manually).
  3. 3Keep a simple receipt pad for full fallback.
  4. 4Document how the temporary transactions get re-entered later.

When to bring us in

On longer outages, call your POS vendor immediately. Sometimes it is a database issue only they can fix.
