Move mail from Strato to Microsoft 365
An MX switch means new mail goes to the new provider. Existing mailboxes need separate migration.
Try this first
- 1Migrate all existing mailboxes first
- 2Lower MX TTL to 300 a day before
- 3Change MX and autodiscover records at cutover
- 4Keep the old account active 30 days for stragglers
When to bring us in
For large mailboxes (>50GB), use the provider's migration tool, not IMAP sync.
