Our newsletter has no 'unsubscribe' button at the top in Gmail
Gmail only shows it when your newsletter sends the right headers: List-Unsubscribe and List-Unsubscribe-Post. Your sending tool must include them.
Try this first
- 1Send yourself a test newsletter and inspect the full headers. Look for 'List-Unsubscribe'.
- 2Missing? Enable 'add list-unsubscribe header' in your sending tool. Almost every modern tool has it.
- 3For Gmail's one-click button you also need 'List-Unsubscribe-Post: List-Unsubscribe=One-Click'.
- 4Test against a Gmail recipient and check the button appears. Gmail may take a day to pick it up.
When to bring us in
If you run the newsletter from a custom script or unknown SaaS, we can help you generate the right header.
