DKIM key has been live for years, should we rotate?
DKIM key rotation limits damage if a key leaks. Running two selectors lets you rotate without downtime.
Try this first
- 1Generate a new DKIM key with a different selector
- 2Publish the new selector in DNS, leave the old one in place
- 3Switch the provider over to the new selector
- 4Wait a week, then remove the old DNS record
When to bring us in
Rotate at least yearly, more often if you send payroll or invoice mail.
