Connect to Peppol as a freelancer, worth it or overkill?
For a freelancer with no government clients, Peppol delivers little today. For anyone billing municipalities, ministries, healthcare or large corporates, it skips portal work and is becoming the norm.
Try this first
- 1Check your customer list for government clients, municipalities, hospitals or OIN holders
- 2Packages like Moneybird, Exact and Yuki offer Peppol via an access point, often included
- 3Ask the access point how they handle receiving, not just sending
- 4Keep your main email reachable, customers still send a PDF in parallel as a reminder
When to bring us in
When in doubt, log into the Peppol Directory once and search your top five customers. Listed: it pays off now. Not listed: defer.
