Scheduled tasks (emails, backups) fire unreliably
WP-cron only runs when someone visits the site. On quiet sites it misses things.
Try this first
- 1In wp-config.php set: define('DISABLE_WP_CRON', true)
- 2Create a real cron job in your host panel hitting wp-cron.php every 5 or 15 minutes
- 3Test by scheduling a post and checking it publishes
- 4Confirm WooCommerce emails and backups now run on time
When to bring us in
If your host has no cron panel, UptimeRobot can ping wp-cron.php periodically as a workaround.
