One colleague needs Project or Visio: can I buy it standalone?
Project and Visio are separate SKUs, not bundled in M365 Business. For one user a standalone license is usually cheaper than a tier upgrade.
Try this first
- 1Project: three plan options (Plan 1, Plan 3, Plan 5) ranging from planning-only to portfolio management.
- 2Visio: two options (Plan 1 web-only, Plan 2 with desktop and datasource connectors).
- 3Buy via admin > Billing > Purchase services and assign on the user's Licenses tab.
- 4Both work alongside your existing M365 license; additive, not replacing.
- 5Pricing rarely stays current; verify via admin center, especially with multiple users.
When to bring us in
With 5+ Project or Visio users: ask for advice; an Enterprise plan or separate deal may beat standalone licenses.
