Power Automate flow stops: 'quota exceeded'
M365 includes 'seeded' Power Automate with limited runs and no premium connectors. Heavy use hits the wall quickly.
Try this first
- 1Open make.powerautomate.com > My flows and look at run history. Find the flow that runs most.
- 2Check which connectors it uses; SharePoint and Outlook are 'standard'; Salesforce, SQL, HTTP are 'premium'.
- 3Standard connectors over quota: spread the flow across more triggers, or use batch actions so each run does more work.
- 4Premium-connector error: a Power Automate Premium license is needed per user or per flow.
- 5Document what the flow does and yields; that justifies whether a license is worthwhile.
When to bring us in
Power Automate architecture (per-user vs per-flow vs Process licenses) is a licensing puzzle. Ask for advice before buying a Premium license.
