1D scanner or 2D imager?
1D reads regular barcodes and is cheaper, 2D also reads QR and screen barcodes.
Try this first
- 11D laser: only classic EAN/UPC barcodes, cheapest option
- 22D imager: also QR, GS1-Datamatrix, screen barcodes from phones
- 3Loyalty app or gift card on phone? 2D imager is required
- 4Pharma or food batches: 2D imager for GS1-Datamatrix
- 5Price gap is small, pick 2D for future-proofing
When to bring us in
Mix of standard EAN and phone-screen barcodes? Pick 2D, 1D will fail on phone receipts.
