Email receipts instead of printing, allowed?

Allowed, guest must be able to choose. GDPR aspect: email is personal data, use only for the receipt mail, not auto-sub to newsletter. POS must ask consent separately.

Try this first

  1. 1Enable 'email receipt' option alongside 'print receipt' in POS.
  2. 2Use two separate checkboxes: receipt mail, marketing mail.
  3. 3Do not retain emails longer than needed, max 7 years for tax.
  4. 4Check the data processing agreement with your POS vendor.
