PowerPoint stutters on a deck with many videos
Embedded videos and hi-res images bloat the file. A 200 MB deck is not 200% better, only 200% harder.
Try this first
- 1File > Info > 'Compress media'. Pick 'HD' or 'Standard' depending on the screen. This often halves the file.
- 2File > Info > 'Compress pictures' (in properties). Strips cropped parts and drops resolution.
- 3For very large files: swap embedded video for a YouTube/Stream link. Works as long as the venue has internet.
- 4Vendor templates often ship 8K backgrounds. Replace with a flat color or a 1920x1080 version.
