What does business fiber cost per month and is it needed

Business fiber is pricier than consumer fiber, but the gap pays for SLA, static IP, and symmetric speed.

Try this first

  1. 1Compare consumer fiber (KPN, Odido, Ziggo) with business fiber (KPN ONE, Eurofiber, Open Dutch Fiber resellers). The difference is install requirements, SLA, and service window.
  2. 2An SLA with 4-hour response for a manufacturer is not a luxury. Consumer fiber says an outage on Saturday evening is fixed "Monday between 8 and 5". Count that downtime.
  3. 3Symmetric versus asymmetric. For uploading backups, hosting video calls, or remote work, symmetric (equal up/down) is a real advantage.
  4. 4Static IP or multiple IPs. For VPN setup, IP-whitelisting at customers, or mail servers you need static IP. Consumer fiber often gives dynamic, business gives static by default.
  5. 5Expect 12 or 36 month contracts. 36 lowers price but locks you in. For a growing business prefer 12.
