Need a wildcard cert (*.yourdomain.nl), HTTP challenge fails
Wildcards require DNS-01 challenge. Means API access to your DNS host.
Try this first
- 1Generate an API token at Cloudflare, Route53 or your DNS host
- 2Configure certbot or acme.sh with the right DNS plugin
- 3First test --staging to validate the DNS flow
- 4Plan auto-renewal, manual doesn't scale
When to bring us in
DNS host without API: fall back to single cert per subdomain.
