Secondary DNS server isn't picking up changes
The SOA serial tells secondaries the zone changed. If it doesn't increment, they don't sync.
Try this first
- 1Check current SOA with dig SOA yourdomain.nl
- 2Format is usually YYYYMMDDNN, auto-incremented by most hosts
- 3With a manual zonefile, bump serial yourself on every change
- 4Force NOTIFY or trigger zone transfer if secondary stays stale
When to bring us in
On hidden-master setups, master xfr logs reveal the cause.
