Which keyboard and mouse, ergo or standard?
Not everyone needs ergo. Everyone deserves a keyboard and mouse that work without daily fiddling. Standardise on at least two models.
Try this first
- 1Standard: a solid wired or wireless USB set per desk. No loose Bluetooth mouse that re-pairs every Monday.
- 2Wrist or thumb complaints: ergo (split) keyboard or vertical mouse. Not preventive for everyone, only on a signal.
- 3Wireless: one dongle or via Bluetooth, 3-year battery life is realistic. Avoid loose dongles per device (loss risk).
- 4Standardise two sets (basic + ergo) for the whole company. Simple stock, easy replacement.

Persistent RSI-like complaints? A workstation analysis plus ergo set; only then, not preventively.
