Do I actually know who has which hardware?

In a 5-15 person company you lose track within 1-2 years. A quarterly hardware audit avoids 'no idea where laptop 7 is'.

Try this first

  1. 1Make a sheet or small register: serial, model, user, location, purchase date. One tab, no software overkill.
  2. 2For M365/Intune environments: the admin portal already lists most devices. Export and link to people.
  3. 3Quarterly: compare list to reality. Once a year walk every desk (30 minutes).
  4. 4On hire and exit: update the register immediately. Not 'when I have time'.

When to bring us in

Over 25 devices or multiple sites: a simple asset tool (e.g. Snipe-IT) or your MDM's inventory. We can set it up and migrate.
