Which external monitor: 24, 27 or 32 inch, and 4K or not?
For most office roles 27 inch QHD (1440p) is the sweet spot. 4K is nice but only really pays off with imagery, video, or dense CAD/data work.
Try this first
- 124 inch 1080p: cramped but cheap, fine as a second screen or in tight space.
- 227 inch 1440p: the 2026 office standard. Plenty of room, sharp enough, sensible price.
- 327 or 32 inch 4K: makes sense for design, video, or dense spreadsheets. Set Windows scaling to 125-150% or text is too small.
- 4Two monitors beat one giant monitor for most work styles. Plan power, cables, and height.

- Should we buy or lease laptops as a 5-person company? Both work. Lease is predictable but pricier over the term; buying needs cash and your own depreciation. The difference is mostly admin.
- Is buying refurbished smart or asking for trouble? For office work fine, if from a serious vendor with warranty and a clean OS install. The trap is shady marketplace listings.
- How much RAM and SSD for office work in 2026?Rule of thumb for knowledge work: 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD as a comfortable minimum. 8 GB already feels tight; 32 GB is for heavy tools.
