My auto-forward to my personal Gmail no longer works
Microsoft 365 blocks automatic forwarding to external addresses by default. Most tenants have tightened this in recent years.
Try this first
- 1Confirm the tenant policy does block external forwarding. Setting it up usually returns a clear notice.
- 2Reconsider the need: personal Gmail is rarely the right place for business mail. Your admin probably has reasons.
- 3For real exceptions: have the admin allow it for specific users, not tenant-wide.
- 4Better alternative: use the Outlook mobile app and you get work mail without forwarding.
