Our logo does not show next to our mail in Gmail
That is BIMI. It only works if DMARC is strict (quarantine or reject) and you publish a verified logo via DNS. Last stop on the deliverability ladder, not the first.
Try this first
- 1Check first that DMARC is on 'quarantine' or 'reject'. On 'none' BIMI does not work at all.
- 2Prepare a square SVG logo without gradients or effects, in the strict BIMI variant of the format.
- 3For Gmail and Apple Mail you also need a paid VMC or CMC certificate. Smaller providers sometimes accept without a VMC, but do not count on it.
- 4Publish the BIMI TXT record at default._bimi.yourdomain and wait a few days for it to appear.
When to bring us in
Preparing the logo you can do yourself; the VMC route runs via a certificate vendor and costs money. Want to know if it is worth it for your volume, ask us.
