Webshop bookkeeping Shopify to Exact, which integration?
Shopify-to-Exact runs via a direct app (Exact has its own connector), a middleware like Combidesk, or a PSP detour (Mollie/Stripe matched to order). Each route has its own pitfalls.
Try this first
- 1Inventory orders per day, and whether you want one invoice per order or a daily summary per VAT rate (volume impact in the package).
- 2Low volume (under 30 orders per day) suits per-order linking, high volume suits daily aggregation.
- 3Test VAT determination in a staging Shopify, especially OSS, B2B reverse charge and international shipping can mismatch.
- 4For the first month manually reconcile Shopify revenue versus booked revenue versus PSP payouts, three numbers must match.
- 5Document which orders do not flow through (free orders, refunds, store credit) and book manually or set a filter.
