Flow changed, can't revert to working version
Not all tools have decent version history. Export JSON regularly to Git.
Try this first
- 1Enable built-in version history where available (n8n, Make)
- 2Export flow JSON weekly to a Git repo
- 3Maintain a per-release changelog
- 4Test rollback procedure once a quarter
When to bring us in
Critical-flow incident: build rollback as a feature, not ad-hoc.

- n8n: self-host or cloud?Self-hosted is cheaper at volume and keeps data local. Cloud removes ops burden.
- Zapier or Make: which fits better?Zapier is straight-line; Make handles complex flows with routers and iterators for less money.
- Power Automate Cloud or Desktop: which to use?Cloud for SaaS integrations and triggers. Desktop for RPA against legacy Windows apps without APIs.
None of the above fits?
