I changed something, it's broken, can I roll back?

Not every iPaaS has strong version history. Without rollback you're stuck with your memory or a backup. A minimum routine prevents getting stuck on every change.

Try this first

  1. 1Before any change: export the flow first (JSON, ZIP, or clone button). n8n has Workflow versions, Make has Save-as-version, Power Automate has 'See past versions'.
  2. 2Store exports in a Git repo or a dated version folder. Not as 'copy of copy of flow', you'll lose track fast.
  3. 3Test every change in staging (see staging entry) or via a test-mode payload, not directly in prod.
  4. 4On rollback: import the previous export, rename the broken prod to 'broken-{date}', activate the import. Then debug at leisure.
  5. 5Document in commit message or changelog what the change was: '+1 step for CRM-link refactor'. Future you will thank you.

When to bring us in

No version discipline now and want to introduce one without redoing all flows, a hybrid export routine is a good start. We can help.
