We want daily stand-up via a Slack bot instead of a meeting
Async stand-up via Slack bot saves 15 minutes per person daily. Existing tools (Geekbot, Standuply) work, but an own flow with n8n or Make gives you control over output and routing.
Try this first
- 1Define 3 fixed questions: 'What did you work on yesterday?', 'What today?', 'Any blockers?'. More questions raises drop-off.
- 2Build a scheduled flow that DMs each team lead every workday at 9:00. Use Slack chat.postMessage with a form (Block Kit).
- 3Collect responses via Slack events. Store in a table (Notion, Airtable, Sheet) plus post a team-channel summary at 9:30.
- 4Mark blockers visibly: emoji or separate section. A team lead who has to unblock sees them without reading the whole update.
- 5Run a Friday weekly-summary flow: all week's blockers in a doc. That surfaces trends invisible in daily meetings.

None of the above fits?
