Is a VM snapshot enough as a backup?
No. Snapshots live on the same storage; a hardware failure takes both.
Try this first
- 1Snapshot = point-in-time on same disk
- 2Backup = copy to a separate location
- 3Don't keep snapshots longer than a few hours
- 4Test restores regularly
