BTRFS, ZFS or ext4 for my NAS?
For SMB NAS units, BTRFS (Synology) or ZFS (TrueNAS) is smartest; ext4 lacks snapshots.
Try this first

- 2ZFS: heavier but very robust, TrueNAS stack
- 3ext4: simple but no integrity check
- 4Mind the RAM budget, ZFS is hungry
