About Vectel
A Dutch IT firm built around automation, not the hour clock.
Vectel runs IT for Dutch SMBs and delivers custom software, automation, and architecture work for clients in the Netherlands and abroad. Based in Veenendaal on the A12/A30 corridor, with clients across the Netherlands.
Why Vectel exists
Most IT firms bill by the hour and survive on the same manual work they could automate away. Vectel runs the opposite way: our internal operations are automated as a discipline, which is what makes a flat-rate retainer for Managed IT actually work. The saved hours go into the problems that need a human, not the recurring tasks a script could have handled.
How we work
Every Vectel engagement follows a defined phasing, regardless of whether it concerns a Managed IT retainer, a development project or an automation assignment. The phasing is documented in writing prior to any engagement, in the form of a quote and project plan.
Intake and orientation. Every engagement begins with a non-binding orientation call. In this call we map the current situation, the objectives and the constraints. On that basis we assess whether the assignment falls within our expertise and provide an initial price indication. Upon mutual agreement, a formal quote follows, including scope, lead time, investment and the applicable terms.
Analysis and inventory. Prior to any execution we perform a structured inventory of the existing systems, processes, stakeholders and any compliance requirements. For Managed IT this results in an audit report, for development assignments a technical architecture document, and for automation a process mapping with measurement points for the baseline. The outcome is a shared understanding of what is in place, what is needed and which risks are to be identified up front.
Execution and oversight. Vectel works in defined phases with a fixed delivery cadence. For Managed IT this is the phased takeover of operations based on the audit findings; for projects it is traceable milestones with formal acceptance moments. Throughout execution we report proactively on progress, blockers and any scope impact. Progress meetings take place on the agreed cadence, typically weekly or biweekly.
Acceptance and handover. Each delivery is closed with a formal acceptance procedure against the criteria documented in the quote. For project assignments, Vectel provides a runbook with operational instructions and, where applicable, a handover moment to the client's internal team. For Managed IT engagements, the relationship transitions, after the initial setup phase, into an ongoing service rhythm.
Ongoing collaboration. For long-term engagements we continuously monitor the agreed service levels, provide a monthly operational report and conduct a quarterly strategic review. Improvements and changes are scheduled in mutual consultation. Each agreement is terminable subject to a reasonable notice period in accordance with the applicable terms; clients retain access to their own data, documentation and runbooks at all times.
